Safety 2010 - 10th world conference on injury prevention and safety promotion

To be held on September 21st-24th 2010. London, UK. This major biennial event, sponsored by the World Health Organization, brings together over 1000 international experts, policy makers and practitioners in the fields of injury and violence prevention to debate, discuss, and exchange information and experiences. The key theme of the conference is Safe and Equitable Communities. Poorer countries, and disadvantaged communities within countries, suffer a disproportionately large number of almost all types of injuries. This theme has been chosen to reflect this.
The conference programme will cover all aspects of injury and safety including violence, road safety and occupational safety, amongst many other topics. The call for abstracts will commence in April 2009, with abstracts invited from practitioners, researchers and policy makers from health, criminal justice, education, public administration and industry. Those wishing to present their work can submit abstracts for oral presentation, posters, film, or photographic exhibits.
